Hey folks...it’s time to move onwards and upwards! Or sideways?? Just go here... @sezbinet I’ve tried to have a bunch of projects on the go, but it hasn’t quite been working out. Hours in the day, self care and all that important stuff! So, I’ve decided to be brave and pull all the different parts of me together to create one authentic juicy space. Fair warning...It’ll probably be contradictory, sometimes artsy, sometimes thought provoking, sometimes rude, sometimes spiritual, sometimes nerdy. But once complete it’ll have more engaging content, more often. For now...it’s not goodbye. But...see you over at @sezbinet 💛💛💛
“If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always got”. I have so much compassion for the blurrrr space that we can get in when we are feeling low, overwhelmed, numb...it’s hard to do anything much productive when caught in the loop. That’s why it’s essential to take notice of triggers, patterns, themes (that can come in the form of people, places, things, behaviours, media exposure) that we interact with BEFORE we fall flat. What happens in the lead up? Becoming aware, gives us time to prepare! (Epic rhyme hey?) And make minor creative adjustments if necessary. Rejection is a bitch...and a babe! It can hurt so good! When we take ownership of rejection, it’s highly likely we will experience shame (aka make ourselves wrong, not enough or bad because another didn’t validate us) That shit stings for days! We also have the option to flip and reverse the rejection... take control of the new direction. If someone doesn’t get your vibe or talent, then you just dodged a bullet my friend. They are not meant to be in your life at this time. Which opens doors to a whoooole new array of shiny possibilities! Yeyah! Feeling disappointed is totally fair enough, but naming yourself or your craft as a dud, is actually just straight out fictional. Sometimes the “sign” to stop 🛑 is sitting in plain sight right in front of our noses...but we just can’t quite make it out! If this is the case, we are likely unhealthily attached to something, someone, or a thought around an issue. Not always, but often, our anxiety is a cue that something is not quite right in our world. It’s outdated or no longer beneficial. This is where we can befriend anxiety and use it as a tool. Yo anxiety, thanks for showing up...what you have to say today? The hardest part is stopping long enough to actually listen to the answer. It’s hard to hear things we don’t wanna hear.
